Admirals Hard is the point on the Devon side of Plymouth Sound where the ferry for Cornwall arrives/leaves. The ferry runs all year.

It is also the start (for the east-bound walker) of the fascinating 10-mile Plymouth Waterfront Walkway which extends as far as Jennycliff. An excellent guide to the whole path is available at tourist information centres and will enable you to get the most from the route.
