Clovelly could be viewed as a living theme park. However, it is first and foremost home to the 500 or so inhabitants of the village and as visitors we must treat it with respect.

It is probably the best known village in Devon and it's fame justly extends world-wide. It is often described as ``unique'' and for good reason. The village is mostly a single cobbled street which runs steeply down the hillside to the tiny, working, harbour with its quay.

To see the village as it really is, try to arrive in the late afternoon after the day-trippers have gone.

A CDROM version of the PhotoTour with over 540 high-quality photos of larger size is available from the Association's shop.
