Fremington Quay until quite recently was a very busy port where Clay was exported. Today it is only Fremington Quay station (completely rebuilt and opened in 2001) with its exhibition and history of the quay which gives any clues to this.

The station houses a look-out in the "signal box" together with wild-life information. Refreshments are also available.
