Golden Cap Dorset
photo

Golden Cap is the highest point on the mainland coast of Southern England at 630ft (191m). It is part of the large 2,000 acre Golden Cap estate.

Just to the west of Golden Cap you may take a short inland detour to the deserted village of St Gabriel's. The ruins of the church may be seen. The road through the village has been cut by coastal erosion on both sides of the village.

In this view to the west you can see Lyme Regis and further on lie the white cliffs at Beer Head.

A CDROM version of the PhotoTour with over 540 high-quality photos of larger size is available from the Association's shop.
