Lamorna Cove West Penwith
photo

Lamorna Cove has refreshments, toilets and a car park. A little further inland is a famous pub--the Lamorna Wink--which used to be an illegal beer house. Granite from the nearby quarry was used to build the Embankment in London, which runs from Westminster Bridge eastwards along the north bank of the Thames.

Lamorna has become a popular place for artists to live and exhibit their work and during the summer exhibitions by the local artists are held in the village.

The tiny fields along this stretch of coast were used for early crops, particularly daffodils.

A CDROM version of the PhotoTour with over 540 high-quality photos of larger size is available from the Association's shop.
