Logan Rock West Penwith
photo

Walking the path eastwards from Porthcurno, one soon gets sight of the Logan Rock. Here, at low tide, the sea becomes a delicate pale blue-green colour.

The Logan Rock is a huge granite block which could be rocked by hand. In 1824 Lieutenant Goldsmith dislodged the rock and was ordered to replace it at his expense by the Admiralty.

A CDROM version of the PhotoTour with over 540 high-quality photos of larger size is available from the Association's shop.
