The Mayflower Steps, also called the Pilgrim Steps are situated at Plymouth's Barbican. This is the oldest part of Plymouth and dates back to Saxon times.

On the 6th September 1620 the Mayflower left from here with the Pilgrim Fathers for the New World. But the list of historic connections with this area goes far beyond this and includes the sailings of Captain Cook and the Tolpuddle Martyrs...
