Mevagissey Cornwall
photo

Mevagissey is another fishing village now popular with day-trippers. A visit to places like Mevagissey and Padstow on the North Coast, may call to mind a line from John Betjeman's poem Delectable Duchy "A smell of deep-fry haunts the shore."

A mile inland from Mevagissey is the "lost" garden of Heligan. This is a world-famous garden restoration project, to bring back to working order one of the most remarkable Victorian gardens in Cornwall.

A CDROM version of the PhotoTour with over 540 high-quality photos of larger size is available from the Association's shop.
