River Otter South Devon
photo

The path which crosses the River Otter runs for about three-quarters of a mile up each side of the river on a dyke constructed by French prisoners from the Napoleonic War. The estuary is a haven for bird life and you'll pass a hide on the east side of the river just a short way inland from the mouth of the river.

A CDROM version of the PhotoTour with over 540 high-quality photos of larger size is available from the Association's shop.
