From the summit of Swyre Head (300ft above sea level) this stunning view eastwards is gained. Immediately before you is Durdle Door with St Oswald's Bay behind.

The Bays each side of Durdle Door were formed by the sea breaching the harder limestone of which the Door is a remnant. The sea then eroded the softer rock behind to form the bays.
