Here at Warren Woods is a memorial to Lt-Colonel H. Jones VC, OBE, who was killed in action in the Falkland Islands in 1982, leading the Paras re-taking of Goose Green. He had strong family connections with the area.

After his death it was suggested that a section of path be dedicated to him and so the section from Kingswear Castle to Newfoundland Cove was opened with the memorial being unveiled by his widow in July 1984. The timber steps at the Kingswear end were constructed by Alan Pope.

A CDROM version of the PhotoTour with over 540 high-quality photos of larger size is available from the Association's shop.
