Yeo Bridge North Devon & Somerset
photo

The bridge over the river Yeo was removed in the early 70s following closure of the railway to Ilfracombe. In 2000 it was re-instated at a cost of £700,000 and it was offically opened in February 2001. It is a swing-bridge allowing tall-masted craft to enter the Yeo from the Taw. The re-instatement allows walkers (and cyclists) to avoid a half-mile detour inland.

A CDROM version of the PhotoTour with over 540 high-quality photos of larger size is available from the Association's shop.
